Patience and Fortitude, in March at the New York Public Library, Hear them roar

figuratively speaking, of course.

Want to know more about the New York City library mascots that lord over the entrance of 42nd and Fifth Avenue in the NYC? They were named Patience and Fortitude by Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia. He felt that every New Yorker should possess those two qualities. More info on the duo is here and here

The March wind roars
Like a lion in the sky,
And makes us shiver
As he passes by. When winds are soft,
And the days are warm and clear,
Just like a gentle lamb,
Then spring is here.
