If you read only one book

make it “Creating We

I’ve only read the first hundred pages of Judith E. Glaser‘s “Creating We“. I was promised a challenging boss today but I found this book on the desk’s bookshelf and somehow managed the rewards.

There is much to learn about how healthy conversations evolve, how healthy culture is created, healthy relationships, what really is reality. So much good influence within this book’s pages to exercise.

I sifted these two out for now.

“Be the Change You Want to Create in the World.”
“You must be the change you want to see in the world.” — Mahatma Gandhi

with added dimension that, yes, sometimes you have to tell the world what you want, even if it is as simple as explaining to someone on the subway that yes, they must not push, there are others ahead also trying to get off.

John Lennon wrote “If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there’d be peace.”

Then secondly, I loved the grey matter boxes throughout the book. One was on the neocortex. This is your brain vault. Therein lies 3D design, calculation, forecasts and dreams. [by the way did you know that the male neocortex has 4 more billion neurons than the female. see wiki.]

So much to treasure in this book I plan to revisit it soon.

“Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us, and the world will be as one. “
— John Lennon
